I trusted your judgment implicitly

July 27, 2018

In my twenty years of association work, I have come across a small handful of people who energized me with their enthusiasm, talent, and professionalism. You are one of those people.

The day I retained you to lead ISVMA through a turnaround of our convention, I was confident that we were in good hands. The numbers themselves speak to the quality of your work. ISVMA's convention had suffered through meetings that lost money, had dwindling veterinary participation, and left exhibitors wondering whether their continued involvement was warranted. The ISVMA Board was considering a motion in September 2003 to eliminate the convention altogether!

Three years later, exhibits have doubled and attendance is up more than 100%. The ISVMA Convention is now the second biggest source of Association income (behind membership dues) and has become a model for all state veterinary medical associations. The Convention has become the place where ISVMA can showcase its new progressive attitude. Nowhere else has the Association better demonstrated it's "can do" attitude than at the Convention.

I  will miss working with you and will struggle to find someone with whom I have so much innate confidence. You were always honest and forthright with your recommendations and I trusted your judgment implicitly.
